FSN Duke head coach Gail Goestenkors
:00 and her Blue Devils whipped the Hokies
by 32 points earlier this month when
the two played in Blacksburg.
But tonight the rematch was a
shockingly different story.
Thanks to the efforts of former
Blacksburg Bruin Britney Anderson the
Hokies took an 11 point lead on the
Blue Devils in the first half.
Anderson was anything but
intimidated as she scored a career high
19.
Kirby Copeland and Brittany Cook
also played tough, but Duke went on a
20-to-5 run in the final 7 minutes of
the half to take a 39-to-33 lead at the
half.
The Hokies got the lead back into
single digits on several occasions in
the second half. but Duke was just a
little too much.
*CG final Virginia Tech
65 The Hokies play tough but lose to
Duke #1 number one Duke by 10 - 75-to-65.

Heritage thought it could do some
stomping in the first quarter as Meisha

midcourt and she drives in from the
scores and the Pioneers are rolling.
But Staunton River would gets it
