The company announced the layoffs
last November... saying they would cut
one thousand jobs at the Dublin plant.

That number has been reduced to
about 900 because some workers found
other jobs or retired.

Today layoff's are not the end..
dozens more will lose their jobs in
March.

A company official say the reason
for the layoffs is a slowdown in demand
for heavy duty vehicles.

Also, stricter federal emissions
standards went into effect this year.
