cited in the death of an electric
department employee back in September.

ENG#=1 VO-NAT

VO-NAT 45 year old Mike Wilson was using

a cherry picker to install new
electrical lines to a chemical building
at the Martinsville water treatment
plant.

That's when another electrician
working below noticed Wilson slumped
over in the bucket.

The Virginia Occupational Safety
and Health Department investigated the
incident.

They found that Wilson was not
using insulating protective gear at the
job site and will be citing the city
for permitting an employee to work near
an energized electric circuit without
adequate insulation.

An exact cause of Wilson's death
was undetermined. That citation does
not carry a fine.
