Other viewers voiced their opposition
to trapping, including a viewer from

"I was not prepared to look up and
stare into the eyes of a suffering and

A few viewers did defend the idea of
bounties and trapping:

"If the story had shown what a coyote
does to livestock (hassling calves
until they collapse), wildlife
(dragging down small deer) or eating
house pets, I doubt the community would
have seen the coyote as a benign
creature which shouldn't be trapped."

And a viewer from Lynch Station wrote:

"The sad thing about all of this is
these are the same people that watch
the news night after night and see

rapes, murders, and community
catastrophes and have nothing to say,
but let a coyote with a rubber jaw trap
on its paw be seen on TV and they
scream bloody murder."

GRAPHIC=ACC In the ACC, Florida State paid a

visit to Duke where Roanoke native JJ

Redick had his jersey hung from the
rafters at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

The Orlando Magic guard led the
Blue Devils to the 2004 Final Four and
three appearances in the Sweet 16, and
helped Duke win three ACC tournament
titles.

Redick becomes the 13th player in
school history to have his jersey
retired.

Redick averaged nearly 20 points a
game while in Durham, and is the ACC's
all time leading scorer.

Yellow Jackets vs. Maroons The Noke fought an uphill battle :00 most of the day against the visiting
Yellow Jackets.

The Maroons played some defense

and showed some hustle as they tried to
get back into the game. Zach Milton
gets the steal and deals to Ben
Schrader who lays it in at the other
end.

Then, it's twine time as
Milton dials up a three ball from the
corner pocket that hits nothing but
net.

Macon was too tough though.
Phil Hawley takes the nice pass from
Adam Krovic and lays it in off the
window from in close.

David Carlson then bombs
away from way downtown and the *CG final Randolph-Macon Yellow Jackets cruised to the 78-55 78 win over Roanoke.

Manuel Quiroz ate his way through
dozens of Mexico's hottest chilies,
including ones known as 'habanero'
meaning 'the strongest'.

Some watched in amazement as
Quiroz then proceeded to rub chili
peppers all over his face and squeeze
chili pepper juice into his eyes.

Quiroz said that chilies have no
affect on him.

Eating chilies is like eating
fruit to him he proudly proclaimed as
he munched on a 'habanero'.
