GRAPHIC=Murder Investigation A stabbing in Roanoke last night
cost one man his life and left another
behind bars.
The incident happend around 11:30
in the 26 hundred block of Durham
Street.
When officers arrived, they found
a 32-year-old man who had been stabbed.
Authorities pronounced him dead
at scene.
Police have not released his
name.

of different brush fires this weekend.

scared, in pain and nearly frantic for
some relief? Tonight's episode made me
want to throw-up."

terrified animal caught in one of man's
cruelest inventions. "

bounties and trapping:
"If the story had shown what a coyote
does to livestock (hassling calves
until they collapse), wildlife
(dragging down small deer) or eating
house pets, I doubt the community would
have seen the coyote as a benign
creature which shouldn't be trapped."

"The sad thing about all of this is
these are the same people that watch
the news night after night and see
rapes, murders, and community
catastrophes and have nothing to say,
but let a coyote with a rubber jaw trap
on its paw be seen on TV and they
scream bloody murder."

standings. Today, the Maroons tried to
stay above .500 in the league against
Randolph-Macon.

and showed some hustle as they tried to

visit to Duke where Roanoke native JJ
Redick had his jersey hung from the
rafters at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
The Orlando Magic guard led the
Blue Devils to the 2004 Final Four and
three appearances in the Sweet 16, and
helped Duke win three ACC tournament
titles.
Redick becomes the 13th player in
school history to have his jersey
retired.
Redick averaged 19.9 points while in
Durham.

Seminoles helping FSU rally from a 17
point deficit to take the lead.
