Much of the country is in the grip of
icy winter weather�

temperatures range from well below zero
in the midwest to single digits

throughout much of the Northeast.

In New York City...there's no
snow...but that's little consolation.

The winds added to the winter woes in
upstate New York. snow and frigid

temperatures brought amtrak trains to a
halt� and they also added up to

a long weekend for students.. Many
schools shutting down to keep the

children out of the cold.

Snow is also snarling traffic. nearly
40 miles of highway was closed

this weekend outside Albany due to
blizzard conditions.

And In the nation's capitol...residents
are feeling numb too.

But for some.. Numb seems to be all the

In Boston yesterday...people of all
ages plunged into the Atlantic to

raise money for charity.

against a Christiansburg nail salon
owner accused of molesting clients.

not guilty this morning to three sexual
battery charges.

Six men and six women are
hearing evidence that Tran
inappropriately touched a woman and two
12-year-old girls in his salon last
year.

Several years ago, Tran pleaded
guilty to two counts of sexual battery
in Pulaski County.

His wife says Tran is innocent
of these new charges.

invesitgating the city's first murder.

Police say the incident happened
around 11:30 Saturday evening in the 26
hundred block of Durham Street.

When officers arrived, they found
a 32-year-old man who had been stabbed.

Authorities pronounced him dead
at scene.

They have not released his name.

But they have charged this man,
28 year-old Wilmer Hernandez-Ulloa
Ew-yo-a with murder.

Neighbors who live in the
Dorchester Court community say it is
typically a quiet area.

Redick had his jersey hung from the
rafters at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

The Orlando Magic guard led the
Blue Devils to the 2004 Final Four and
three appearances in the Sweet 16, and
also helped Duke win three ACC
tournament titles.

Redick becomes the 13th player in

school history to have his jersey
retired.

Redick averaged nearly 20 points a
