of confidence in the sheriff's
department - -though not as much as
they once did.

county residents last week.

76- per cent tell us they once
had at least a little confidence during
the Cassell Era.

21-per cent say they had none,
even before the arrests.

Although the number expressing

But 28 per cent now say they have
no confidence at all in their sheriff's
department.

the gunman go free. Since many of those
investigators are now in their own

he botched an asbestos-removal job,
using homeless people to do the work.

The transients Callahan hired
chopped up the asbestos with knives and

cold. Everyone had their hands in
gloves and their hats on tight. They
had an extra two hours to get ready for
the bus this morning.

out the units in building 3040.....
Firefighters were called to the Roanoke
County complex....but they didn't find
fire.. .instead a lot of water.

Investigators say a roof hatch was
left open causing the sprinkler system
pipes in the attic to freeze and
rupture and in turn, that activated the
sprinkler system.
