Two fires in separate counties
kept firefighters busy this evening.

they've recovered the bodies of two
people after a housefire in Huddleston
this evening.
The home on Pecks Road burned for
hours, and firefighters think at least
one other person is inside.
The bodies they have found were

in Fincastle -- where firefighters say
it looks like a cat may be responsible.

Road. Apparently a cat knocked a
burning candle under the couch. Fire
hydrants were frozen..so firefighters

first degree murder of Donna Jean
Angelo (An-Gel-lo).
Startz admitted to shooting and

Fairlawn Walmart last February.
According to court records,
Startz NOW wants to withdraw his plea
because of new information on
prescription drugs that may help his
defense.
Startz was supposed to be
sentenced in March.
A judge will decide whether to
take back the pleas later this month.

they have three losses in an entire
season, but tonight the two met with
three losses in their last three games.
Duke was riding a two game lsoing
streak while Carolina lost on Saturday
to N.C. State.

game to dominate from the start - but
this kind of stuff from Brandon Wright
and Tyler Hanbrough was seldom scene in

Duke dominated.
Freshman Jon Scheyer fired up a
Blue Devil effort that kept Carolina
from leading for 35 minutes of the
game.
Finally, Carolina's depth just
wore Duke down.

for high school football players from
all across the country.

23 players today including 7 high
school all-Americans a star studded
running back from Indianapolis and the
state of Virginia's player of the year
in Tyrod Taylor.
In all - 13 of the players signed
by the Hokies today are from the
Commonwealth.

Cavaliers signed 24 players today.
The Cavs picked up 12 players in
all from the Commonwealth - including
quarterback Peter Lalich and Cave
Spring product Danny Aiken.
The UVA class is ranked in the

17 players.
Seven are from in-state including

turned things around in a hurry. The
Pioneers have 15 victories against just
6 losses this year, including an 8 and
2 mark in the Mountain Empire District,
and will play Narrows Friday night in a
playoff to decide the regular season
district title.

Maroons are 19 and oh, and with a win
