as many as three people dead.

The fire broke out just after 5:30
yesterday at this home on Pecks Road in
Huddleston.

Firefighters tell us this was a
stubborn fire. In fact, it took
several hours to extinguish it.

Fire crews from all over Bedford
County had to be called in to the get
blaze under control.

Crews have recovered the bodies of
two people inside the home.

They were found in a collapsed part
of the home.

Investigators believe there's at
least one other person inside.

We do know that the victims are a
woman and two children.

The cause of the fire is still
under investigation.

Investigators remained on the scene
throughout the night.

cat may be responsible for another fire
in Fincastle.

Crews responded just before ten
o'clock yesterday evening to 217
Herndon Road.

Apparently a cat knocked a burning
candle under the couch.

Fire hydrants were frozen, so
firefighters had to use water trucks to
put out the fire.

The homeowner was injured, but
refused hospitilization.

neighborhood are urging the city to do
something about a continuing coyote
problem.

dog behind homes on Little Creek Road,
where officials estimate at least a
dozen coyotes have taken up residence.


Neighbors say the coyotes are
getting bolder every day.

The Russ family is busy baking
cookies they plan to sell at the Salem
Walmart this Saturday in hopes of
raising money for the American Heart
Association and The Children's Miracle
Network.

They also plan to educate the public

Gladys was arrested last week in the
death of 24-year old Jeremy Paul
Rogers.

Rogers died December 5th of an
apparent overdose of the synthetic
painkiller methadone.

failing to report a felony when she was

suburban Cleveland.
