Road in Huddleston.

to extinguish it.

Fire crews from all over Bedford
County had to be called-in to help the
get blaze under control.

o'clock last night to 217 Herndon Road.

Apparently a cat knocked a burning
candle under the couch.

Fire hydrants were frozen, so
firefighters had to use water trucks to

The homeowner was injured, but

Fire officials say the blaze started
after several 55- gallon drums
containing chemicals exploded, which

Gladys was arrested last week in the
death of 24-year old Jeremy Paul
Rogers.

Rogers died December 5th of an
apparent overdose of the synthetic
painkiller methadone.

Methadone is also used to help
recovering heroin and morphine addicts
curb their cravings.

Shorter is accused of supplying
Rogers with the drug.

1.7 billion dollars. Disney's earning
were helped by last years top two

Carribean and Cars.



On wall street an early rally lost

Online music piracy is still raging.
Music industry estimates more than a
billion digital tracks are illegaly
traded over peer to peer sites each
month. By comparison, I-Tunes which
makes up 70% of legal music digital
sales in the U.S. has sold just two
billion songs since its launch in 2003.
Officials say lawsuits against
individuals help slow the growth of
people using illegal file sharing
software, but its still growing. The

number of illegal downloads is up 24
percent in the last year.

suburban Cleveland.

from the Evington Volunteer Fire
Department.

she took the money while serving on the
department's board of directors.

Authorities estimate McCune stole
between 17 and 20-thousand dollars over

a seven-month period in 2005.

They say McCune has paid back

Each of the 13 grand larceny
charges carries a potential prison term
of 1 to 20 years.

McCune will be sentenced in the
Spring.

the lives of as many as three people.
The fire broke out just after 5:30
yesterday at this home on Pecks Road in
Huddleston. The victims are
reportedly a woman and two children.
The cause of the fire is still under
investigation.

also busy last night. Crews responded
just before ten o'clock last night to

Apparently a cat knocked a burning

cities like Lynchburg. Officials
estimate at least a dozen coyotes live
in dens along this strip of land off
Little Creek Road. Lynchburg
police say they're still tracking the
