Volunteers say they expect the

the winds pick up and more outages

car crash in Roanoke this evening.

small truck and small car collided.

At least one person had to be cut
out of their vehicle and taken to the
hospital. No word on how serious any
injuries are.

Two others pled no contest. One
of them testified against Morrell.

The group sat and smoked crack

Paul Goode and Jeremy Carter face
no more than 33 years in prison for
their cooperation.

Morrell will be sentenced in
April.

River.

Trains wrap around the bottom and birds

take flight near the top.

Peggy and Brian Smith own around 200
acres that runs alongside and well
behind the cliffs. They are asking for
that land to be rezoned to build 25
single family homes and cottages.

But nearby landowners like Ann Goette
are concerned about the river.

She says the Palisades are a landmark
in Eggleston. Historically, this is
where Mary Ingles Draper was found in
1755 after she escaped the Indians.

the evacuation of a Roanoke middle
school this morning.

Fire crews were called to
Lucy Addison Middle School when an
employee noticed an unusual odor.

No one was injured, but
firefighters did find elevated levels
of Carbon Monoxide in a storage area.

The problem was traced to a piece
of equipment in the gym that had been
charging overnight.

Firefighters ventilated and
inspected the school before the
students and teachers were allowed
back.

district basketball tournaments got
cranking tonight, and it took all of
one game at the Salem Civic Center to
produce a big upset.

Blacksburg Bruins lost twice to regular
season champ Hidden Valley, but tonight
was a completely different story for
Doug Day's team.

Six-Four sophomore Harland Brown

The Titans found themselves in a
major hole all night long and even
efforts like this one from T.C. Bane on
the inside weren't enough to slow down
the Burg.

Another transition opportunity
