Saturday afternoon to survey a home at
the center of a police shooting.
The incident began when police
arrived at the residence to serve
papers Friday night.

County residents.
President of the group, Phillp

kept up with demand, and now all
finanical assistance has stopped.
So far, more than 40 families
have been turned away.

in a house fire.

the Hokies were feeling pretty good
about themselves.
They had just beaten Maryland,
Miami and Georgia Tech and were ranked
16th in the nation.
State on the other hand - was 1
and 5 in the ACC. But the Wolfpack
pulled off an inside job on the Hokies.
Ben McCauley scored 20 points as
State handed Tech its only home loss of
the season - 70-to-59.

The rematch will take place in
the RBC Center in Raleigh where Tech
teams are 0 and 1 lifetime. In order
to even that slate, Greenberg has a
solid to do list he expects his players
to follow.

Harvick led the final 42 laps, going
from 31st to first, claiming his first
Daytona win. Cup drivers grabbed the

football great Darryl Tapp was back in
the area today, signing autographs at
Pine Spur Sports next to the Wax Box on
Colonial Avenue.
Tapp just finished his rookie
season with the Seahawks, recording 33
tackles, including 3 sacks. He also
had an interception return for a
touchdown.
Not bad for a guy who many of the
experts said was undersized for the
NFL.
