OQ=...MEANT TO BE." << Nearly 35 hundred fans turned out
(END SOT) on a chilly for senior day festivities

as Britney Anderson, Nare Diawara and
Kirby Copeland all took their final
bows inside Cassell Coliseum.

Copeland did her part to make it
a festive day scoring a team high 17
points as the Hokies led for about 80
percent of the game - and all but the
final five minutes of the second half.

But former William Fleming star
Khadijah Whitttington put on a show for
a huge following of star city
supporters who made the trek to
Blacksburg.

Whittington recorded the ninth
double-double of the season scoring a
team high 17 points and pulling down 10
rebounds. After she converted this
offensive putback with 452 to go - the
Pack never trailed again.

WHITTINGTON

Tech drew even down the stretch
and had several chances to tie the game
or regain the lead - but State's
defensive pressure was the difference
as a couple of key turnovers sealed the

Hokies' fate.

Tech loses its fourth straight
game falling to the Wolfpack 68-to-63.

topping the Pack at the RBC Center
today - would be impossible.

Engin Atsur scored 20 points and
North Carolina State shot a season-high
67 percent as the Wolfpack detroyed the

Ben McCauley - who lit Tech up

for the Wolfpack who earned a season
sweep of the Hokies.
