to sort out the details in two officer
involved shootings....We first start
with Sunday's shooting....which ended
with three officers being put on
administrative leave.

Sunday Morning inside this home on Carroll Avenue
after the man shot at him first.
A seven-year-old child was also

gunfire...
Authorities have not released the
name or condition of the child or
gunman.

Authorities originally went to
the home after a 9-1-1 call came in
reporting a man inside the home with a
gun.
We're told the mother and another
son were also at the scene while all of
this unfolded.

Friday Night And on Friday night... police
were trying to serve an emergency
custody order on Geoffrey Aaron
Stephenson.
They arrived as he was moving out
of his girlfriend's house on King
street Northeast.
Police say he ignored their
orders to stop and get down on the
ground.
Though he dropped one weapon,
they say he was going for another as
Officer Andrew Pulley shot Stephenson.
The 30-year old died about three
hours later.

into a weekend fire that ended with
death of one man and sent a woman to
the hospital.

Yesterday Fire crews aren't releasing
names, but according to family members
- Marcus Harper was killed in the fire
which broke out in the 600-block of
Centre Avenue early yesterday morning.
Harper's girlfriend, Rochelle
Preston, reportedly pregnant was also
hurt in the fire.
She's in critical condition at
the UVA Medical Center.
Investigators say the fire
started in an outbuilding where a
mattress was located.
Damage is estimated at
20-thousand dollars.

stranded climbers has ended
successfully....

The two women and one man were
part of an eight member climbing
team...when they fell off a ledge
Sunday....into an icy canyon.
They spent the night huddled with
their dog, Velvet, in sleeping bags.
Authorities kept in contact with
the climbers overnight by cell phone
and located them with a mountain
locator unit.
The climbers are said to be in
very good condition....and were able to
walk out of the area themselves.

Victory Stadium one last time and many
said it felt more like a prison because

bus drivers and aides how to respond
during a hostage situation.
The script for this demonstration
called for an explosion and for police
to storm, then search the bus.
