GRAPHIC=VT Ever since Virginia Tech's

second- half collapse against Georgia
in the Chick-Fil-A Bowl, a game in
which Sean Glennon threw 3
Interceptions, the questions have been
abound.

Who's going to be the Hokies
Quarterback Next Season?

Maybe Glennon, maybe back-ups Ike
Whitaker and Cory Holt.

Or Maybe Highly touted recruit Tyrod
Taylor.

It's a question that Tech
Quaterback's Coach Mike O'Cain has and
will continue to hear often.

He was at the Roanoke Valley Sports
Club Meeting to hear it asked a few
more times.

Kadijah Whittington left William
Fleming high school.

But she's definitely made a name
for herself on the basketball court in
her time away from the Star City.

Mike Stevens catches up with the

OQ=...NEWS 7 SPORTS." << Khadijah is the leading scorer
(END SOT) and the leading rebounder on a team

that is so balanced and so unslefish
that no one scores more than 10 points
a game.

The difference is that Whittinton
also manages to grab at least 10
rebounds a game.

Nine different times this year,
she has posted a rare double-double -
at least 10 points and 10 boards a
game.

KHADIJAH

KAY YOW

Against the Hokies - she dropped
in 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in
front of a large group of red and white
clad family members and friends from
the Star City. Then at game's end she
found herself getting interviewed on
the ACC television network by none
other than Charlene Curtis - a Roanoke
native and Fleming grad herself.

KHADIJAH

Khadijah left Fleming before her
senior season and finished at Woodrow
Wilson high in Portsmouth. But she
still considers the Star City home.

KHADIJAH

Khadijah's move to Portsmouth
confused many, but she did it to be
close to her dad - who had just been
diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease.
Khadijah's says his situation and
watching her head coach battle breast
cancer for the second time in her life
this season - have made her a different
person.
