GRAPHIC=CRIME A teenager is in custody for a
string of break-ins and incidents of
church vandalism in Henry County.
TAKE HALE FS ON APRISA TAKE FS GFX
18-year-old Eric Hale was taken
into custody after several homes and a
church were broken into early yesterday
morning in the Figsboro area of the
county.
Vehicles were also tampered with,
and some coins were stolen from a car.
Hale's being held in the Henry
County jail without bond.

We have some traffic information
to pass along.
Multiple accidents have occurred
in Campbell County on US 29 South,
south of Foster's Road.
That's about 10 miles south of
Lynchburg. One lane is closed. Drivers
should expect delays.

provost, Ivelaw Griffith has been
re-assigned, just seven months after
being appointed.

summer after a nationwide search by new
President Penny Kyle.
Rumors have been swirling for
weeks that Kyle asked Griffith to
resign.
According to a press release,
Griffith will now work as an

bank for many area residents.

Appalachian Power is raising its rates.
Dave Gibson just saw it for
himself.
Usually it costs him about
100-bucks to heat his home in Catawba,
but that amount has been steadily
climbing.
The cost of Gibson's bill this
month?
More than 404-dollars.
In a letter to customers- the
company said it's due to several
reasons including the increased cost of
coal, construction of pollution control
measures, maintenance and new
facilities.

Roanoke County are long overdue.

The current facility is more than
thirty years old and it shows.
They're also cramped for space which
is a problem when you consider it's one

We have some traffic information
to pass along.
There's been a tractor trailer
accident at mile marker 134 on 1-81
South in Roanoke County. That's three
miles south of the last Salem exit. The
left lane is closed. Drivers should
expect delays.
And drivers should also expect
delays in Campbell County on US 29
South.
Multiple accidents have occurred
just south of Foster's Road.
That's about 10 miles south of

And in Montgomery County, on I-81
south, at mile marker 112.4, south of
Christiansburg., The left lane is

now he says anti-depressants made him
do it and he wants ANOTHER chance to
prove it.

VO-NAT Rodney Startz was in court
yesterday to try and take back his
guilty plea to the first degree murder
of ex-girlfriend Donna Angelo.
Police say Startz walked into the
Fairlawn Walmart last year and shot her
in the head.
He now says he stopped taking the
drug Lexapro, shortly before the
shooting and the side effects are what
drove him to murder.
Startz says new studies he found
on line about anti-depressants made him
want to change his plea.
A judge will decide next Friday
whether Startz can withdraw his guilty
plea and start over.
