hospital this afternoon.
Salem officials say checmicals
in a 55-gallon drum began reacting in
one of the buildings.
The building has been evacuated,
though we don't know which building it
is at the moment.
Five people who were in the
area are being evaluated by medical
personnel.

aboard an Indonesian ferry, killing at
least 15 people, and sending scores of
passengers jumping into the sea.
Two of the victims were children.

Authorities say 350 passengers were
on board-- just over 200 have been
rescued so far.
The ferry was engulfed in flames
shortly after leaving Indonesia's
capital, Jakarta.
There's no word yet on what caused
the fire.
Indonesia's been hit by a string of
transportation disasters in recent
months.
Just this past December, a passenger
ferry sank, killing more than 400
people.

arrested one person they think's
responsible for several break-ins, as
well as incidents of church vandalism.

18-year-old Eric Hale was taken
into custody after several homes and a
church were broken into early yesterday
morning in the Figsboro area of the
county.
Vehicles were also tampered with,
and some coins were stolen from a car.
Hale's being held in the Henry
County jail without bond.

again? The entertainment website
TMZ.com reports Spears has returned to
rehab for a third time in a week.
While she has reportedly been in and
out of rehab....the exact
whereabouts of her two young boys is
unknown. Her spokesman says "the
kids are being well taken care
of"...and several entertainment
magazines
are reporting that 17-month-old Sean
Preston and 5-month-old Jayden
James are being watched by a
combination of her estranged husband,
Kevin
Federline, his mom and Spears' mother.

the children when Spears filed
for divorce last month. A temporary
court order giving them joint
custody expires in just a few days.

about that incident at the Salem V-A
Hospital.
Hospital officials say
there was a chemical reaction in the
laundry building.
An employee was mixing
chemicals when they started fuming.
The laundry building was
evacuated.
V-A officials say several
employees are being evaluated at the
hospital's emergency room.
Salem city officials put the
number of employees at five.

O'Neils Irish Pub in Charlottesville.
All money raised will go towards to the
St. Baldrick's Foundation for cancer

(END SOT) Glenvar and ran one of the most
successful AAU girls programs in the
state. But when Ferrum College offered
him the chance to coach at the college
level - Bryan Harvey jumped at the
opportunity.
With one if his former players on
one side and his wife Karen on other
helping him coach - Ferrum has managed
to win the highly competitive USA South
regular season title this year in just
Harvey's second year on the bench.
Heading into Friday night's tournament
semi-finals - the Panthers are 20 and 6
on the season.

The close knit staff has won with
the help of a lot of local talent -
former high school players from the
area who now call Ferrum home.

One of the keys to securing those
local players - is Williams. She's
still young enough to relate directly
to the recruits - plus she's one of
only a handful of players to ever play
at both Virginia Tech and Roanoke
College.

She's been there and the Harveys
plan to stay here. They recently broke
ground on a new home in the Ferrum area
- they plan to raise their three kids
here and keep building the Panthers'
program.

a new world record in Thailand--doing
the most squat thrusts in one minute
while on the back of an elephant.

onto the obliging elephant in Northern
Thailand today, and powered through 40
squat thrusts.
He says that breaks the previous
