When babies are born this young

THE BABY IS MOST IMPORTNAT FACTOR 01

HOWEVER ONCE YOU START TO GET BELOW 500

THE BABY ALSO BECOMES VERY IMPORTANT
TOO

More preemies are surving than ever

that.

New technologies are making a

THE TECHNOLOGY IMPROVEMENTS HAVE BEEN
TREMENDOUS ONE ASPECT OF THAT HAS BEEN
VENTALITORS THAT WE KNOW HAVE THAT CAN
DELIVER TINY BREATH OF LESS THAN A
TEASPOON WORTH OF AIR PER BREATH FOR
EXAMPLE IT'S INCREDIBLE

Carilion says its specialized
level of care is also giving preemies a
fighting chance.

The average baby born even at 23
weeks only has 9 percent chance of
survival, that jumps to 25% percent at
24 weeks, and then nearly doubles a
week later, and it's up to 81 percent
at 27 weeks.

Carilion meets or exceeds those
averages.

WHAT WE HAVE HERE IS THE TYPE OF
