have developed Hepatitis A.

Parents whose kids attend
First Baptist Day Care in Roanoke got a
letter today alerting them that their
children may have been exposed to the
virus.
In the letter, the health
department says, Hepatitis A is easily
transmitted among young children,
especially those in diapers.
Based on CDC recommendations,
local health officials have already
started treatment for the individuals
who are at risk, this will continue
through next week.

The symptoms of Hepatitis A
include: fever, weakness, loss of
appetite, nausea, abdominal discomfort
and jaundice.
Most people recover in a few

played a role in a serious wreck that
sent one person to the hospital in
Bedford County this evening.

The single vehicle crash happened
on Route 122, at the entrance of
Camper's Paradise.
The vehicle ran off the right
side of the road, hit a ditch, went
airborne, hit a business sign, and
flipped several times.
The driver -- Sharon Hernandez of

She was airlifted to Roanoke
Memorial Hospital.
State Police say charges are

stolen property ring will be spending a
LONG time behind bars after pleading
guilty in Halifax County Circuit court.

41 year old Dennis Wilmouth --
also known as "Rat" pled guilty to 26
various counts.
He's facing up to three life
sentences -- PLUS 575 YEARS.
Wilmouth was arrested in March
last year while selling pills to a 15
year old juvenile near an elementary
school.

police took more than a hundred guns --
thousands of rounds of ammo -- power
tools, electronic equipment and pills.
Boats, cars and motorcycles were
also taken.

digital photos of orphans around the
world and sends them to high school art
students.

professor has given them a new use
during the winter months.
Each night, he's sprays down the
silos using a water hose and several
sprinklers, then lets the wind and cold
temperatures do the rest.
During the day, he and his
students take turns climbing the
110-foot man-made mountain of ice.
Each brave soul uses an ice axe
and spiked shoes for traction, and is
secured to the silo using a harness.
The new sport attracts hundreds
of thrill-seekers each week.
