a suspect involved in an early morning
shooting.

Authorities responded to a call
from Eli's restaurant on Ridge Street
shortly before two this morning.

Jennings Darnell Tucker from
Danville was found with a gunshot wound
to his chest.

He is in Duke University Medical
center in critical condition.

Lamont Wimbush with Malicious wounding,
use of a firearm and discharge of a
firearm in a public place.

Wimbush's wearabouts are unknown
and he is considered armed and
dangerous.

have developed Hepatitis A.

Parents whose kids attend
First Baptist Day Care in Roanoke got a
letter Thursday alerting them that
their children may have been exposed to
the virus.

In the letter, the health
department says, Hepatitis A is easily
transmitted among young children,
especially those in diapers.

Based on CDC recommendations,
local health officials have already
started treatment for the individuals
who are at risk, this will continue
through next week.

The symptoms of Hepatitis A
include: fever, weakness, loss of
appetite, nausea, abdominal discomfort
and jaundice.

Most people recover in a few
weeks without complications.

stolen property ring will be spending a
LONG time behind bars after pleading
guilty in Halifax County Circuit court.

41 year old Dennis Wilmouth --
also known as "Rat" pled guilty to 26
various counts.

He's facing up to three life
sentences -- PLUS 575 YEARS.

Wilmouth was arrested in March
last year while selling pills to a 15
year old juvenile near an elementary
school.

VO NAT During the two year investigation
police took more than a hundred guns --
thousands of rounds of ammo -- power
tools, electronic equipment and pills.

Boats, cars and motorcycles were
also taken.

He was sentenced to serve eight

break-in.

Morva called Commonwealth's
Attorney Brad Finch satanic and an evil
man.

Finch says Morva threatened to
kill government officials.

An inmate testified Morva told
him he would retaliate against the
judge, prosecutor and even family
members of everyone involved in the
legal process.

The Don Knotts Statue Committee
is making plans for a memorial river

front park in Morgantown.

The park would honor the actor,
rather than the characters he played.

It would be home to a statue and
sculptures highlighting Knotts's
career.

But he is best known as a
bumbling deputy on "The Andy Griffith
Show."

He died a year ago today at the
age of 81.

The committee is trying to raise
50 thousand dollars for the statue.

A Pennsylvania family had a rude
awakening Friday morning!

Something fell from the sky and
came crashing through their home just
after midnight.

The family found a mess - with a
hole in the ceiling and ice,
insulation, roofing and flooring all
over the foyer.

Investigators suspect the large
chunk of ice fell from an airplane.

The family has lived in their
home 18 years, and says air traffic has
increased the last 4 or 5 years.

A fast moving, but potent
blast of winter weather hit the
northern part of Utah Friday leaving
enough snow on the ground to cause some
problems.

Several inches of snow fell in

the Salt Lake City area, covering
streets and sidewalks.

Police say they had many reports
of vehicles that slid off roadways and
fender benders, but no reports of any
major injuries.

The storm has moved out and is
moving into the central plains,
promising to bring snow, blizzard
conditions and other types of severe
weather over the weekend.

sued a sheriff's deputy for 10-million
dollars.

Mark and Cheryl Hunsberger claim

they found Deputy J-A Wood and another
man standing in their 10-year old
daughter's room at one A-M on February
first.

awakened by their daughter screaming
and ran to her room.

"There Mr. Hunsberger found
Deputy Wood in full uniform- - standing
in his daughter's doorway- -holding a

The Sheriff promised results of
an investigation within two weeks.
