Even after Commonwealth's
Attorney Chris Rehak opened saying this
murder case is not about science rather
human nature and Gutersloh's loose
lips.
The state plans to present
evidence that Gutersloh told two
friends and a co-worker that he indeed
kill Pleasants.

guilt, but admits there's enough
evidence to convict him.
Police say Pierce accidentally
ran over 18 year old Brian McCloskey in

It happened late at night on a
walking trail that used to be a popular
short-cut for motorist.

following closely.
One of the Floyd County boys
fighting cancer lost the battle this
afternoon....

life support Sunday evening and we're
told the family shared some special
moments with him before he died this
afternoon.
Obviously a very sad turn
for all who knew and supported Josh
throughout his treatment.
But the group, Same Fight,

and funds for the boys will go
on.......that's because Chance Harman
is still undergoing treatment.
Joshua's Grandfather, Alan
Cantrell is the Head Coach of the Floyd
County Girls Basketball Team...they
have dedicated their season to the boys
and right now, they are undefeated.
The Lady Buffalos have supported
their Coach and his family and will try
to continue their season this Friday
when they play a State Quarterfinal
Game against J-J Kelly at
Christiansburg High School.

called, "The Lost Tomb of Jesus."
Cameron and a Jewish
archaeologist claim they have
discovered the human remains of Jesus,

proof to back it up.

for 20 points a game this season and is
on the First team. He helped lead the
Flames to 3rd Place in the Conference.
V-M-I's Reggie Williams joins him
on the First Squad. Williams has
averaged almost 29 points per game this
season, tops in the Nation in Division
1.
One of William's Teammates also
earned some hardware. Travis Holmes is
the Conference's Defensive Player of
the Year. He is the First Keydet to
ever win the award.
And no suprise that the Big South
Coach of the Year, is Cave Spring
Graduate Gregg Marshall, He led
Winthrop to an undefeated regular
season in the Big South at 14 and 0.
It's the 4th time that Marshall has won
the Award.

athletes from the Star City that have
put Roanoke on the Map. One of those
includes George Preas.
This weekend, the former Hokie
and Baltimore Colt passed away at a
South Roanoke Nursing home after a
lengthy, courageous battle with
Parkinson's disease.
Mike Stevens tells us about a man
who was Roanoke to the Core. Playing
Sandlot Football at Fallon Park,
followed by a stellar career at
Jefferson High and Virginia Tech.
Before joining the Colts in 1955.

OQ=NEWS 7 SPORTS. << Preas was a member of Baltimore's
(END SOT) first ever world championship teams in
1958 and 1959.
He played offensive line on those
teams helping protect his good friend
Johnny Unitas, who is shown here in
July of 1964 helping Preas give a
football clinic at Victory Stadium.

Preas and the Colts also played
the Steelers at Victory Stadium back in
1961.
And after the 1958 season, Preas
was voted the Colts' "Unsung Hero
Award."
The Gentle Giant was part of the
1954 Hokies' team that went unbeaten
with an 8-0-and-1 record that season -
the last unbeaten team before the 1999
squad at Tech went 11 and 0 in the
regular season.
Preas, was well into his battle
with Parkinson's disease at that time
but still took time to speak with us
about his pride in the Hokies.
In September of 2003, the Hokies
honored him during the Texas A&M game,
and although George was unable to
attend - his wife and son expressed his
pride and appreciation.
BITES
Preas is a member of the Tech
hall of fame and the Virginia Sports
Hall of Fame in Portsmouth where the
number 60 uniform he wore during his
final season with the Colts in encased
in glass.
