to take the fight against childhood
obesity in our schools.

Court Elementary for the success of its
running club, called GET FIT.

The governor says this a model
for other schools.

About 40 students get up every
Thursday morning just to run.

Two have logged more than 100
miles this school year.

The governor plans to sign a new
bill that will help develop "standard
of health" for school's in the
commonwealth focused on nutrition and
physical activity.

prosecutors built their case against 38
year old William Gutersloh.

He's charged with first degree
murder in the death of 23 year old Lori
Pleasants.

Police say he strangled her and
then sliced her wrists to make it look
like suicide.

the jury he used to be a drug dealer.

He says William Gutersloh
attacked him at a restaurant just days
before the murder, over a bad drug
deal.

Moore was out of town when friends
found pleasants body.

Moore's mother brought him back to the
apartment the next dya. The defense is
trying to show there were problems from
the begining in the police
investigation.

but prosecutors were able to show
strange behavior from gutersloh....the
morning of the murder. two fraternity
brotehrs say he asked them for an
alibi.

The prosecution ended the day playing
Gutersloh's taped interviews with
police. He admitted to police he
was in the apartment, had massaged
Pleasants and even tried to have sex
with her.

The defense is trying to prove that any
number of people at Pleasant's
apartment the night she died could of
killed her.

County on March 12.

And she comes with
experience..she's worked for the
Roanoke SPCA for three years and has
owned and operated Hicks All Breed Pet
Care with her husband for more than
thirty years.

position because the first ever
adoption specialist for Franklin
County, Sherry Slaughter was fired
shortly after being hired.

John Paul Jones Arena The Hokies have never played :00 inside the new John Paul Jones arena,
but somehow they already have left
their mark on the floor of the $35
million dollar facility.

In one of the corners right along
the baseline officials have discovered
the VT logo carefully etched into the
hardwood.

However, the kicker is that the
etching is UNDER the finish of the
floor, so apparently it was done before
the floor even arrived in
Charlottesville - and that means it has
been there all season long until it was
discovered earlier this week.

basketball coach Randy Dunton and his
entire staff this afternoon.

In five years as the Flames head
coach - Dunton won 66 games and lost
85. In all he has been a part of the
LU program for 14 seasons.

The Flames were just 14 and 17
this season.
