Retirement Community.

the information, or offer any details
on the letter, and says the
investigation is ongoing.

Manor we were told to call back in the
morning.

Group A streptococcus is a
bacterium that is spread through
personal contact -- it's the same bug
that causes strep throat -- and can
sometimes lead to "flesh eating"
bacteria.

back in 20-05 -- and at least two
people died then.

Most of those infections came
from a single unit -- and all residents
and employees were tested or treated.

was charged with six-felony counts for
alledgedly molesting an underaged girl.

He's held without bond in the
Botetourt County jail.

Meanwhile, restaurant owner
Sidney "Arnold" Harry was indicted on

friends of the defendant testified that
he told them he killed Lori Pleasants.

says plans for expanding the jail were

legislature.

The eight year- old jail was
built to hold 370- inmates but is now

application, Governor Tim Kaine may
include funding for the project in the
next state budget.

Average highs are getting back into the
mid and upper 50s, with Danville's
average high in the low 60s. With
exception of Blacksburg, most overnight
lows won't fall below freezing, staying
in the mid 30s.

SU: Don't forget your umbrella this
month, or you may get wet waiting at
the station.

The region sees nearing four inches of
rain in March, with Danville taking top
honors with 4.25-inches. Snow is
certainly not out of the question, with
around 3 inches on average for Roanoke,
Lynchburg and Blacksburg. Danville only
sees about an inch.

SU: Venus and Saturn will be near the
moon at times this month, but there's a
rare event coming up according to the
Roanoke Valley Astronomical Society
that's pretty neat!

On March 3rd, there will be a total
lunar eclipse. The moon rise will be at
6:11, and the total eclipse ends at
6:58. The partial eclipse ends at 8:12.
