four-year went home and told his mother
what Nuckles had done to him in the
bathroom.

The 48-year old Shawsville

resident was on leave until the results
came back from the lab confirming the
presence of Nuckles' DNA in the boy's
underwear.

The lab report says the match
between Nuckles and the victim is 32
quadrillion times more likely than with
any other white person.

It's 890-quadrillion times more
likely than anyone in the Hispanic
population and seven quintillion times
more likely than some unknown Black
person.

The prosecutor is still
considering how much time to ask the
judge to impose in Nuckles's case.

fatal shooting inside a motel room
early this morning.

to the Innkeeper Hotel on Piney Forest
Road for a reported shooting.

They found 36-year-old Ethan Tyrone
Stockton of Martinsville inside one of
the rooms, dead of an apparent gunshot

the Virginia Museum of Transportation
to bring you the March almanac.

spring! In fact, today is the first day
of meteorological spring, so climb
aboard, it's time for your March
almanac!

Average highs are getting back into the
mid and upper 50s, with Danville's
average high in the low 60s. With
exception of Blacksburg, most overnight
lows won't fall below freezing, staying
in the mid 30s.

SU: Don't forget your umbrella this

month, or you may get wet waiting at
the station.

The region sees nearing four inches of
rain in March, with Danville taking top
honors with 4.25-inches. Snow is
certainly not out of the question, with
around 3 inches on average for Roanoke,
Lynchburg and Blacksburg. Danville only
sees about an inch.

SU: Venus and Saturn will be near the
moon at times this month, but there's a
rare event coming up according to the
Roanoke Valley Astronomical Society
that's pretty neat!

On March 3rd, there will be a total
lunar eclipse. The moon rise will be at
6:11, and the total eclipse ends at
6:58. The partial eclipse ends at 8:12.

SU: The vernal equinox is running on
time for 8:09 p.m. on March 20th - when
we'll offically blow the whistle on
