sort of ducked and gunned.

THE BUS WAS ON ITS WAY TO A TOURNAMENT
IN FORT MEYERS, FLORIDA WHEN

POLICE SAY IT FAILED TO MAKE A TURN OFF
AN EXIT RAMP AND CRASHED ONTO

I-75 -- LANDING ACROSS ALL FOUR LANES
OF THE HIGHWAY.

ONE WITNESS SAYS THE BUS DRIVER MAY
HAVE MISTAKEN A CAR POOL EXIT RAMP

FOR A REGULAR LANE.

SEVERAL OTHER CARS WERE DAMAGED IN THE
CRASH -- BUT NO ONE OUT SIDE THE

BUS WAS INJURED.

WITNESSES WATCHED AS FIREFIGHTERS
PULLED THE VICTIMS FROM THE ROOF OF

THE OVERTURNED BUS AND RUSHED THE
INJURED TO AREA HOSPITALS.

bad a bus could go off the

playmate�following a 3-week legal fight

over where she should be buried.

companion, Howard K. Stern and

former boyfriend, Larry Birkhead all
put aside their differences for a

day�and paid their final respects to
the 39 year old mother . Smith

In life, Smith was inseparable from her
son, Daniel and she will rest

next to him in death.. in a custom
made gown. Her tombstone will

from south Florida this morning was
peaceful and dignified. An early

morning motorcade�followed by a 2 hour
flight on a private plane.

It wasn�t until Wednesday that an

Smith�s body to be brought to the
Bahamas. And now there�s word Smith�s

mother may continue her fight for her
remains.

But on this day, Anna Nicole Smith
rests in the Bahamas�in a place�by

Elliston man's claim of innocence.

Aleck Carpitcher is serving time for
taking indecent liberties with his
girlfriend's 10-year old daughter.

The girl eventually recanted her trial
testimony, but later said her mother

The court ruled today that the girl's
recantation "did no more than establish
that the victim spoke falsely on one or

a family at gunpoint, and stole five of
their dogs -- four of them purebred
puppies.

The thieves likely learned of the
expensive puppies through an ad the
family took out in the paper, offering

surveillance footage, the armed robbers
committing this home invasion wasted no
time ordering the residents to the
floor at gunpoint and going after the
expensive puppies valued at 25-hundred
dollars a piece.

In his letter today to the Contra Costa
Times editor, Runzler writes the reason
to ban the Easter Bunny, may be, to be
inclusive and avoid religious
overtones. But "an Easter egg hunt is
about as religious as drinking beer on
St. Patrick's day or giving roses on
St. Valentine's day". What do others
think? (14:10�I'm a Catholic, so it has
to be an Easter egg hunt�) (15:21�I'm
not personally in favor of it, but the
city's got to make its own decision
based on realities of citizens of

thought about the name change several
years ago. A Jewish woman complained,
she didn't think it was appropriate to
promote Easter in a city newsletter.

Based on that single complaint, a
decision was made. Spring was in,
