to blame for a brush fire last night in
Patrick County.

Patrick County dispatchers say
the fire has been contained this
morning and crews have cleared the
scene.
No further information was
available.
According to the forestry
department last night, the fire burnt
between 100 and 200 acres.
It was located in a remote area
west of Stuart.
As of last night, no homes were
damaged and no evacuations were issued.

GRAPHIC=Fatal Fire Also this weekend, two people are
dead, four were hurt during a house
fire near Longwood University.
The fire started around five
o'clock yesterday morning in Farmville.
The four injured included two
current and two former students.
Officials are still trying to
determine the identity of those killed
in the fire.
Officials say the house was *not*
affiliated with the school; but, those
who rented it were students.

for authorities to arrest William
Gutersloh for the murder of Lori
Pleasants, it took a jury just under 6
hours to find Gutersloh guilty of first
degree murder and guilty of defiling
her corpse.

with a visit to Americus, Georgia.
