This Morning Gutersloh said six years ago he
strangled Pleasants during sex and even
tried to revive her.

He says it happened in the bedroom,
and he panicked when it was over.

Gutersloh says he got a knife from
the kitchen and cut her wrists to make
it look like a suicide.

The jury convicted him of first
degree murder on Friday.

Today it sentenced him to life in
prison for the murder and gave him
another five years for defiling a
corpse.

That was the maximum sentence allowed
for both charges.

ESPN Juan Pablo Montoya was stout most
of the day.

But late in the race, he ruffled

the feathers of his Ganassi teammate
Scott Pruett, the pole sitter, who got
spun out late in the race by Montoya.

The Columbian- born Montoya then
held on to take the checkered flag for
his first Nascar win.

GRAPHIC=Nextel Cup Kevin Harvick passed up a chance

to run the Busch event in Mexico over
the weekend.

The Daytona 500 champ is trying
to slow down at least off the track.

Since winning the Great American
Race 3 weeks ago, Harvick has been put
thru the gauntlet of interviews and
talk show appearances.

Last week in Bristol, he put that
single victory in perspective.
