tonight.....An accident re-construction
team is trying to piece together what
happened in yesterday's crash that
claimed the life of a Lynchburg
teenager.

Yesterday 18-year-old Andrew Hyram Thulin was
headed east on Route 130 in Amherst
County when he ran off the side of the
road.

Thulin apparently overcorrected and
swerved into the westbound lane where
his truck was hit head-on by a tractor
trailer.

Thulin was not wearing a seatbelt
and was thrown from his car ... he was
pronounced dead at the scene.

Tim Kaine is yielding to local leaders
on transportation this week.

morning to meet with leaders from
central and southwest Virginia.

Some are concerned the plan's
two- and- a half billion dollar bond
package cannot be used for secondary

roads-- something that could cause

Kaine worries there isn't enough
money in the plan for road
maintenance.....

His main concern though remains
over the use of general fund dollars to
pay off the bond debt.

The governor has until March 26th
to make changes to the bill.

facility's record and reputation after
claims of shoddy conditions at Walter
Reed Army Medical Center surfaced last

week.

Carolyn Adams says the hospital
is subjected to numerous inspections

year, which it has always passed with
positive results.

Adams says the V-A is working to
help veterans across the region by
opening a new clinic in Lynchburg.

That's set to open by the end of
the year.

year.. Almost THREE times the original
loan amount before she finally borrowed
money from her family to pay it off.

These types of places ARE legal----

but they charge outrageous interest
rates-

For example some places charge 25
percent interest a month.. On a 2
thousand dollar loan, that's 500
dollars interest for one month..

More than one-thousand dollars
interest after two months.

Saunders advice? if you can't

country's attention...and today a
Florida jury has convicted a sex

offender of kidnapping, raping, and
killing the nine-year-old girl in 2005.

hours before convicting John Couey of
the murder.

Lunsford was taken from her
bedroom and eventually buried alive.

or not Couey should be sentenced to

And the man accused of kidnapping
a 13 year old Florida boy and tying him
up in the woods is now in police
custody...

Authorities arrested the suspect

in Texas earlier today after he agreed
to return to the U-S from his native
Mexico.

Police say he kidnapped Clay
Moore from his bus stop late last
month.

Moore escaped by using a safety
pin hidden in his mouth to pick apart
the duct tape on his wrists.

21 people are dead from a plane crash
in Indonesia.

than 140 passengers and crew when it
caught fire as it landed on Java
Island.

Officials with Indonesia's Garuda
airlines say the other 119 passengers

fences and stopping in a field.

A complete investigation into the
crash is underway.

Florida...Students at a Tampa high
school are waiting for some relief from
an uncomfortable situation.

door at the high school has been locked
since a rash of vandalism swept through
the school.

The lock down is creating long
lines and causing students to be late
or even miss class.

Since tardiness is strictly
enforced, some have taken to urinating

School officials confirmed that

all but one bathroom is locked, but
students don't know when the bathrooms
will reopen.
