This Season Dave Leitao, the second- year :00 Virginia coach received 64 votes from
the Atlantic Coast Media members to
easily outdistance Gary Williams of

Maryland, and Tech's Seth Greenberg for
the honor.

Leitao took a guard dominated
team that was picked to finish no
better than 8th in the ACC this season,
and ended up tied for first place in
the regular season.

He is the first Virginia coach to
receive the award since Terry Holland
in 1982.

Holland also received the award in
1981, and Bill Gibson was honored in
1972.

Leitao will lead Virginia into
its ACC opener on Friday night against
the winner of the Duke - N.C. State
game.

Three playful jaguar cubs were put
on display for the first time yesterday
in Mexico.

This marks the first time three
jaguars were born in a single birth
south of the border.

Zoo officials say typically jaguars

have one or two cubs.

The trio was born January 11th, and
seemed to enjoy all the media
attention.

They're still waiting to be named.

Officials say the cubs will NOT be
released, but will go to other zoos in
the U- S, Europe and Asia.
