fire in Rockbridge County.

It happened just before noon at
this home on Pine Forest Road just off
Route 11 near Lexington.

When firefighters arrived, strong
flames were showing throughout.

Once crews got it under control,
they found 86 year old Charles Roscoe
Nicely dead in the kitchen.

State Police have been called in
to investigate but we're told the fire
is not considered suspicious.

We also understand two
firefighters suffered minor injuries at
the scene.

County, leaving a woman homeless after
flames ripped through her house near
Forest this afternoon.

Firefighters were called to the
home on Matthew Talbot Road around 1
o'clock.

Heavy flames were already coming
from the back of the two-story home. A
garage behind it also was destroyed by
the fire.

The homeowner, Carole Lilly,
escaped injury but was given oxygen at
the scene.

The Red Cross is assisting her
with food and clothing.

The fire also scorched about
three acres of woodland around the home
before the crew got it contained.

And fire caused extensive
damage to a Salem home this morning.

No one was inside the
Tennessee Avenue house when the fire
broke out around 7:30.

The cause was traced to a
gas furnace in the basement.

Damage is estimated at
80-thousand dollars.

years in prison for possessing and
receiving child pornography.

30-year-old Adam W. Dooley pled
guilty in federal court today.

Prosecutors say Dooley had
subscribed to a child pornography
website and downloaded about 80 images
onto his computer.

He also admitted receiving a
D-V-D in the mail that contained child
porn.

Dooley will be sentenced in June.

Joshua Cantrell. Remembered for this
infectious smile, there weren't many
dry eyes in Floyd County Thursday
night. The County rallied around the
brave little boy who fought for his
life after being diagnosed with a rare
brain tumor.

One story dominated Saturday, Sunday,
Monday and Tuesday...that was William
Gutersloh's murder trial. We watched
from the beginning as Gutersloh claimed
he did not kill Radford University
student Lori Pleasanats nearly seven
years ago.....but we were also there
for the biggest shocker...after he was
convicted, Gutersloh admitted he did do
it but claimed it was an accident. He
was sentenced to life in prison plus
five years for defiling a corpse.

Wednesday the most viewed clip was the
Amherst County accident. 18-year-old
Andrew Hyram Thulin hit a tractor
trailer head on and was pronouned dead
at the scene.

Thursday the attention shifted to Ohio
where a retired Blacksburg teacher
pleaded guilty to molesting a young
girl. Soon, he will face charges in

Virginia as well.

attacked residents in one Roanoke
neighborhood, health officials have
found rabid animals in two other areas.

the latest cases, but health officials
say rabies was confirmed yesterday in
two separate incidents.

One involved a fox in the
vicinity of King Street Northeast in
the city of Roanoke. The other

two fer for the Hidden Valley Titans in
state tourney play. Let's start with
ladies first as the Titans took on
Turner Ashby in the semifinals.

Turner Ashby vs. Hidden Valley Six busloads of the Hidden Valley :00 faithful made the trek to the state
capital to support the Titans.

Their team would assert its
superior height from the start. Abby
Redick knocks in the deuce as the
Titans built a double digit lead.

Turner Ashby went to work on
defense. The Knights get the steal and
kick ahead to Nikki Newman for the
lay-in and the game was tied at 24 at

halftime.

But Hidden Valley stepped it up
in the third quarter. Redick again
doing some damage. She finished with
19 points and 7 rebounds.

Redick also *CG final Turner Ashby had 3 assists including this one to 45 Kylee Beecher for 2 more as Hidden Hidden Valley Valley won it 59 to 45, advancing to 59 the title game.

Hidden Valley vs. Brunswick The Bulldogs are coached by :00 former UVA great Bryant Stith.

But Brunswick had trouble dealing
with the Titans size. Rob Peterson

goes up with authority and draws the
foul as Hidden Valley jumped out to a 9
to 1 lead.

The Titans also got hot from the
outside in the first half. Matt
Partsch nailed a triple and Hidden
Valley appeared to have things under
control.

But the Dogs settled down and
utilized their quickness.

Kyle Thompson got into the
lane and put in this bucket to get
Brunswick back in it. *CG final Hidden Valley
42 Then later, it was Ronald Brunswick Thornhill who went without a field goal 51 in the first half, but finished with 22
points and 7 rebounds.

Hidden Valley faltered down
the stretch going without a point over
the final 6 minutes and Brunswick won
it 51 to 42.
