guilty in Ohio to molesting a young
girl, those who knew the teacher from
Blacksburg find it all very disturbing.

plus eight counts of gross sexual
imposition -- and sentenced him to 15
years in prison.

He remembers the sixty-five
year-old as being very popular during
his tenure as an educator.

Nonetheless, his daughter is not
surprised by his conviction.

OQ= Botetourt County's chief prosecutor

released a five-page summary of the
incident at the Hunsberger residence.

Based on an investigation conducted by
State Police, neighbors twice called
9-1-1, to report suspicious behavior
and noise.

Just after midnight Sergeant J-A Wood
rings the doorbell 25

or 30 times, after noticing three
vehicles that he determines were driven
there by teenagers.

The lights are on at the house when he
arrives, but are then switched off.

He can see a young man run into the
garage, then back into the house.

Believing there are as many as six
teenagers having a party in the
basement, Wood calls the parents to
come get the them.

The garage door is open.

An interior door connecting the garage
to the house is unlocked.

One parent goes inside. But he can't
find his daughter, so he asks the
deputy for help.

The two men go enter the home.

before noon.

GRAPHIC=FIRE AFTERMATH A Bedford County woman is homeless

after fire ripped through her house
near Forest this afternoon.

Firefighters were called to the
home on Matthew Talbot Road around 1
o'clock.

Heavy flames were already coming
from the back of the two-story home. A
garage behind it also was destroyed by
the fire.

The homeowner, Carole Lilly,
escaped injury but was given oxygen at
the scene.

The Red Cross is assisting her with
food and clothing.

The fire also scorched about three
acres of woodland around the home
before the crew got it contained.

manslaughter over a fatal scuffle in
Pittsylvania County.

Investigators say a 17-year-old
got into a fight yesterday afternoon
with 24-year-old Jeremy Antonia Davis
outside Davis' home in Sutherlin.

The teenager put Davis in a
headlock and when the teenager let go,
Davis collapsed.

Davis died at Danville Regional Medical
Center.

The 17-year-old is being held
at a juvenile detention center.

car accident in Alleghany County.

The accident happened yesterday
on Route 220 just North of Route 687.

Police say 44-year-old Debra
Bartley ran off the road, over
corrected and struck a guard rail.

She then went down an embankment
and struck a tree.

Bartley was pronounced dead at
the scene.

Police say she was not wearing a
seatbelt.

attacked residents in one Roanoke
neighborhood, health officials have
found rabid animals in two other areas.

the latest cases, but health officials
say rabies was confirmed yesterday in
two separate incidents.

One involved a fox in the
vicinity of King Street Northeast in
the city of Roanoke. The other
involved a skunk near Orlando Court in

The attacks in February occurred
near Morwanda Street in the city.

years in prison for possessing and
receiving child pornography.

30-year-old Adam W. Dooley pled
guilty in federal court today.

Prosecutors say Dooley had
subscribed to a child pornography
website and downloaded about 80 images
onto his computer.

He also admitted receiving a D-V-D
in the mail that contained child porn.

Dooley will be sentenced in June.
