helped organize the first collective
effort to have retailers and
restaurants open their doors Sunday.
But what a difference one year
makes.

of empty booths and only three vendors
setup.

County as Sherrif's deputies crack down
on drugs.

Authorities recently made seven
arrest.
All of these men they believe
were involved in alleged drug
distribution.
Along with the suspects,
investigators also seized marijuana and
cocaine.
Four of the men were arrested at

Roanoke City its first state basketball
champion in 15 years last night as the
Colonels erased an 11 point halftime
deficit and beat the Brunswick Bulldogs
66-to-57. The win gave the Colonels
the Group Two A state title and capped
off a roller coaster season in which
Fleming started out the year losing
four of its first five games.
