A bomb scare, some legislative
scrutiny and an Attorney General's
opinion... all fallout from the Roanoke
Times posting an on-line database that
contained the names and addresses of
every concealed weapon permit holder in
Virginia.

squad was called out to the home of
Christian Trejbal (Trey-bal) after he
received a package he considered
suspicious.

A K-9 unit and an x-ray machine
determined the package was harmless.

receiving dozens of calls from
constituents.

This comes after the paper ran an
editorial Sunday and posted on-line all
135-thousand concealed weapons permit

police acted correctly by releasing the

We are now a little over a month

away from Shell's first degree murder
trial.

The well known photographer's
lover and model, 19 year old Marion
Franklin, died of an apparent drug
overdose after a photo shoot in his
Radford studio in June of 2003.

His attorney is now trying to
keep Shell's three computers, pictures
from the night of Franklin's death and
the morphine bottle out of the jury
trial.

tamper with the morphine bottle and it
was kept in Franklins hospital room
until her body was moved.

posing as a child. He eventually got
her number and propositioned her.

It's a move prosecutors say led them to
his federal crimes.

jobs in the Alleghany Highlands by the
fall.

Parker Powertrain announced

today that the plant in Iron Gate will
close by September 30th.

The company says the decision
was made reluctantly and it was trying
to provide employees with as much

The plant makes piston seals
for automobile engines.

The work will be consolidated
with other Parker plants.

to slow down.

Virginia State Police are
planning extra speed patrols on the
highway a couple of weekends from now.

Troopers will saturate 200 miles
of the Interstate 64 between Staunton
and the Norfolk area.
