were killed in the bombing of the U-S-S
Cole say their fight for justice is far
from over.

But tonight they have a measure
of satisfaction, after a federal judge
ruled that Sudan should be held
accountable.

Joe Dashiell has more on the
ruling, and reaction from the family of
Timothy Saunders, a southside native
who was killed in the attack.

federal Judge Robert Doumar said there
was substantial evidence the government
of Sudan played a central role.

the debate over a Roanoke Times
editorial.

National Socialist Workers Party

The envelope includes a copy of
the National Socialist magazine, and a
picture of Trejbal that's headlined

Trejbal has been under fire since
the newspaper posted an online database
with the names and addresses of every
concealed weapon permit holder in
Virginia.

Tonight, Bill White the commander
of the A- N- S- W confirmed that the
organization had mailed the envelopes
to Trejbal's neighbors.

getting to a small brush fire in
Roanoke County this evening.

has been arrested again.

Brady driving his car in downtown
Hillsville last Friday.

supposed to drive. he had his license

Brady hit and killed George
Dalton on Route 52 back in 1953.

Brady is now charged with driving
on a suspended license and released on
a thousand dollar bond.

called it quits.

between the mayor and the police chief.

In addition to council member
Sarah Eams resigning last night along
with the mayor, the mayor's husband
Robert Hogan handed in his resignation
this morning.

The Hogan's released a formal
statement Wednesday commending the
council for fighting for what they
believe in.

They say they too were only doing
what they thought was right.

Still some had no sympathy for
the Hogan's.

proposed Transportation Bill came
barreling through Hillsville today.

about the proposed Route 58 bypass.

But he was also touting the
changes he wants to make to lawmaker's
two and a half billion dollar
transportation bill.

That prompted Republicans to

If approved, money for part of
the plan would come out of the general
obligation fund.

Kaine says that would take away
from programs like education and public
safety.

The republicans say for years

OQ=I'm Mike Stevens. << The 2007 State tournament
(END SOT) produced some incredible highs and some

excruciating lows. Disapointment is
part of life and certainly sports.
Tasting defeat was particularly tough
for the Floyd County girls and the
James River boys. Both made it to
Richmond with perfect unbeaten records
before ending their seasons with a
loss.

But in defeat - Alan Cantrell and
Mike Goad handled themselves and the
setbacks with the utmost class.

Altavista and head coach Mike
Cartolero were as focused as any team
in the tournament, but the Colonels
lost by a point in the semi-finals to
Gate City.

Bobby Martin's George Washington

Eagles finshed the regular season
ranked number one in the state
alongside Highland Springs. But when
his team lost the Group Three A title
game by 27 points - the disapointment
stretched all the way to the postgame
interview room.

Talk about disapointment - The
Hidden Valley boys were just a quarter
away from the state championship game
in Group Two A before they went ice
cold and failed to score a point in the
final six minutes of their game with
Brunswick.

Getting yout shot is one thing -
taking advantage of it is another.

William Fleming - that was given
up for dead after the Region Three
tourney, but the Colonels seized the
moment beating Waynesboro in the
semi-finals and then taking out
Brunswick for the school first state
basketball title since 1955. It was an
especially satsifying moment for the
coaching tandem of Mickey Hardy and
Marshall Ashford.

Coaching means nothing unless
players buy into what's being taught.

That definitely happened for the
Hidden Valley girls and first year
coach Mike McGuire. Kylee Beecher and
Abby redick pulled on an inside job in
the semi-finals win over Turner Ashby,
and then junior guard Abby Oliver
turned in championship game performance
for the ages - scoring 32 points on
almost flawless shooting as the Titans
beat Charlottesville for the Group Two
A title.

Whether it was blueberry pie,
chocolate pudding or cherry, students
who could memorize 30 numbers or more
in the Pi equation got to take their
best shot at principal David Merritt.

One student memorized SIXTY
numbers, earning her two pie tosses.

Merritt created the challenge to
get students excited about math.

This was the first year for the
pie toss, and the school hopes to keep
it a tradition.
