GRAPHIC=Mornin' The town government of Boones Mill is

in shambles this morning after several
resignations.

ENG#=1 VO-NAT

VO-NAT The controversy centered around

whether to fire the town's police
chief.

According to chief Lynn Frith, the

tension started two weeks ago when
Mayor Patricia Hogan ordered him to
cite more speeders along Route 220.

The chief said in doing so, one of
the first people he caught flying down
the highway was the mayor's husband
Robert, who is also a council member.

Mayor Patricia Hogan ordered him to

The chief said in doing so, one of
the first people he caught flying down
the highway was the mayor's husband

Delegate Dave Nutter has written

a letter to the Attorney General after
receiving dozens of calls from
constituents.

This comes after the paper ran an
editorial Sunday and posted on-line all
135-thousand concealed weapons permit
holders in the state.

In the letter, Nutter asks if the
posting of this information violated
any state laws, as well as if state
police acted correctly by releasing the
list.

Nutter says it may take a month
for the Attorney General's Office to
respond.
