early this afternoon as the Maryland
Terrapins got all they wanted and more
from the Davidson Wildcats - and Dell

CBS Sports-NCAA Productions The talented freshman guard for :00 the Wildcats - who was supposedly too
small or too skinny to play in the ACC
- even with his dad's alma mater
Virginia Tech - torched the Terps for a
game high 30 points.

Curry's exploits kept Davidson on
top or within striking distance most of
the way before the Terps were able to

get a working margin late in the second
half.

Maryland advances with the
82-to-70 win in the Midwest Regional
opener.

Today, one of those drivers got a
jump on the competition taking a few
hot laps around the track in the pace
car.

Actually, Denny Hamlin was just
in town to help promote the fact that
the Ridgeway clock company had designed
a special limited edition grandfather
clock for this year's race winner.

This is the Speedway's 60th
anniversary season and the clock is
valued at $11 thousand bucks.
