It was so beautiful last week and now

AND FREEZING RAIN.

Very slippery, very slippery.

Terrible icy as ever.

IN ELK TOWNSHIP NEW JERSEY, THE WEATHER
PROVED DEADLY.

THREE PEOPLE WERE KILLED WHEN A

AND IN SPRINGFIELD MASSACHUSETTS,
HORRIBLE DRIVING CONDITIONS ARE KEEPING
TOW TRUCK OPERATORS BUSY.

(MOS)

Lot of accidents, lot of people stuck,
lot of towing. No place to move at all.

But New Yorkers here in the Big Apple
are not letting the snow and sleet get
in the way of tradition.

City plows and salters worked
feverishly to get Fifth Avenue cleared
for the Annual St. Patrick s Day

MANY AIR TRAVELERS HOWEVER -- ARE STILL
SNOWBOUND.

AT NEW YORK S THREE AREA AIRPORTS,
NEARLY 15-HUNDRED FLIGHTS WERE CANCELED
BY FRIDAY AFTERNOON.

(MOS)

I think it s very unorganized and they
are not being accommodating at all.

JETBLUE QUICKLY CANCELED NEARLY
75-PERCENT OF ALL ITS FLIGHTS AFTER

COMING UNDER FIRE FOR THE WAY IT
HANDLED PASSENGERS DURING A PREVIOUS
STORM.

JETBLUE AND OTHER CARRIERS ARE NOT
CHARGING FEES TO REBOOK BUT THE WAIT
CAN BE TAXING.

We ve got our corner staked out for
now. We found some Starbucks so we have
food, we have water. I think we ll be
OK.

AND EVEN THOUGH SOME PASSENGERS WON T
BE ABLE TO FLY UNTIL AFTER THE
