keeping crews busy this morning.

Fire fighters were called to a
two story house in the 600-block of
East Main Street at about 1:30 this
morning.

All of the residents escaped
without injury.

Officials say the building was
divided into five apartments.

Crews are still on the scene
trying to extinguish the fire and to
determine the cause.

an accident this morning in Halifax
County.

Police say that Debora Foster was
walking along Route 58 when she was hit
by a vehicle just after midnight.

She died at the scene.

Police say she was wearing dark
clothing.

The driver's name has not yet
been released.

St. Patrick's Day proved
frustrating for air travelers across
the east coast.

Winter weather delayed planes
across the country forcing passengers
at Charlotte Douglas International
Airport in Charlotte, North Carolina to
wait in long lines Saturday.

Cities such as Boston and
Philadelphia were pounded by rain,
sleet and even snow causing flight
delays for passengers leaving
Charlotte.

And speaking of Philadelphia,
that city continues to clean up.

Most of the flights at
Philadelphia International Airport were
canceled Friday, while nearby hotels
filled up quickly with stranded
passengers.

Passengers on 15-US Airways
flights were stuck on the tarmac for
over four hours.

The storm is also being blamed
for three deaths on the Pennsylvania
roadways.

While roads were slick and
driving was treacherous, thankfully
there was no repeat of last month's
storm in which hundreds of motorists
were stranded.

12-year-old boy scout missing in
Alleghany County, North Carolina.

The boy was part of a group
camping in the Stone Mountain State
Park.

He was reported missing about
three o'clock yesterday afternoon.

A helicopter was sent to help

Menu Foods is recalling 48 brands
of dog food and 40 brands of cat food.

The company says an undetermined
number of pets have suffered kidney
failure after eating the food and about
ten have died.

The F-D-A says it doesn't know
yet what's wrong with the pet food.

The food is sold widely
throughout North America and
distributed by major retailer like
Walmart, Kroger and Safeway.

from the wreckage of a sunken military
ship off the Florida Keys.

The ship serves as an artifical
reef.

A third diver, who was pulled
from the water Friday, died at a
hospital.

Officials say the men didn't take
enough air tanks with them and didn't

Recovery crews had to travel more
than 130-feet below water and go
through tight quarters to retrieve the

bodies.

restaurant.

in a Chicago suburb.

Witnesses say an SUV crashed
through the front of a Subway.

Police say it doesn't appear
alcohol was involved in the crash, but
they're not sure what caused the driver
to lose control and come through the
