this cell phone picture shows it all.

Authorities say the jeep landed
on top of 58-year-old Arthor Blevins
who at the time was asleep in his bed.
Blevins was pinned underneath for
nearly 30 minutes before rescue crews
could dig him out.

the weekend has taken the life of a
young man from Blacksburg.

25- year- old Richard Brett
Quarterman died this morning, from
injuries he received early Sunday.

3:30 in the morning. and the house was

in flames when firefighters arrived.

They found Quarterman, and 24-
year- old Ashley Mauter unconscious
inside.

They were rushed to the hospital
in critical condition. Authorities say

not have a working smoke detector.

recall on more than 90 labels of
contaminated pet food.

alive and in reasonably good condition
in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North
Carolina this morning.

He was taken to a local medical center
after being reunited with his parents.

Auberry disappeared Saturday

Virginia Baptist Homes, claims it's a
tax-exempt because of its a faith based

County Attorney Buck Heartwell
argued that with an entrance fee of
more than 350-thousand dollars for a
cottage -and monthly rent payments of
four-thousand dollars, the retirement
community didn't cater to the less
fortunate.

The president of V-B-H says The
Glebe is part of the organization's

Advisory Council is looking into it.

After the Roanoke Times published
the list last week, the chairman of the

council heard complaints from citizens
and lawmakers.

He has appointed a group to look
into whether the public should have the
same access to concealed weapons
permits as they do to other permits.

The group will also look at
public access to other information-
-such as social security numbers.

It will likely be December before
the group makes any recommendations.

reward will help crack an old murder
case.

down on Union Street on March 11th,
2004.

Since then, friends, family
and community groups and businesses
have been donating money for a reward.
It's now up to ten-thousand dollars,
plus another thousand being offered by
Danville Crimestoppers.

team hosted Tufts University out of

of the nation's top 20 teams.

during the past weekend. So the need
to start off fast against the Jumbos
was important. They did just that by
winning the faceoff and racing down the
field where Jon Mason would dump it off
to freshman Pat March for the quick
strike.

The number 15 team in the nation
would not go away though. Even with a
man down Mike Cortese went the length
of the field dodging 4 defenders
passing it off and getting it back to
slip it by the goalie. In all he beat
8 defenders to net the goal.
