Scam Alert 7 Animation fastest growing white- collar crimes in
America.
That's according to Virginia
Attorney General Bob McDonnell.
The good news is, there's a new
law enforcement partnership being
implemented to cut down on the number
of victims in the Commonwealth.

Last Week Whether it's by phone... through
the mail - or over the internet... if a
financial opportunity sounds too good
to be true, it probably is.
That was one of the messages
Attorney General McDonnell shared with
the newly- formed Financial Crimes Task
Force.
Prevention is a critical aspect
of reducing identity theft.
There are also plenty of anti-
scammer laws on the books in Virginia.
But the new joint effort is
focused on coordinating the
investigations and better determining
whose jurisdiction the crimes fall
under.
But McDonnell says, even with the
new regional task force in place,
cracking down on the scammers is
extremely difficult.

Southside over the next few years.

million dollars outfitting a shell
building in the Ringgold East
Industrial Park.
Matrix says the plant will use new
technologies to create
environmentally-friendly products like

concrete.
The plant also burn much of its own
waste to produce electricity.
They hope to break ground by early
summer.

was more of an informational picket
than a protest, but yesterday they took
their call for better pay and benefits
to the sidewalk outside city hall.

supporters demonstrated outside the
municipal building at midday.
When Roanoke is compared to other
communities, they say the pay scale
falls short given the challenges that
