VO-NAT The Freedom of Information

Advisory Council is looking into it.

After the Roanoke Times published
the list last week, the chairman of the
council heard complaints from citizens
and lawmakers.

He has appointed a group to look
into whether the public should have the
same access to concealed weapons
permits as they do to other permits.

The group will also look at
public access to other information-
-such as social security numbers.

It will likely be December before
the group makes any recommendations.

Yesterday, the county squared off
against The Glebe saying it owes more
than 200-thousand dollars.

The Glebe- which is owned by

Virginia Baptist Homes, claims it's
tax-exempt because of it's a faith
based organization.

County Attorney Buck Heartwell
argued that with an entrance fee of
more than 350-thousand dollars for a
cottage -and monthly rent payments of
four-thousand dollars, the retirement
community didn't cater to the less
fortunate.

The president of V-B-H says The
Glebe is part of the organization's
