The interstate could be closed
until sometime tomorrow morning.

Corps of Cadets laid a wreath at the
national D-Day Memorial in Bedford.

They took a walking tour of the
memorial and listened to first hand
accounts from a veteran who fought on
the front lines.

Organizers say this experience
was a way to show those students who

expect.

It also helped drive home the

The Clements Mill Bridge on Route
6-87 has been closed for some time due
to maintenance concerns.

VDOT is finally giving the county
permission to build a new single-lane
bridge....

project to its budget.

The old bridge used to connect
the Red Valley area to the Wirtz and
Burnt Chimney communities.

The hope is, that the new
thoroughfare will enhance travel.

Elizabeth Edwards thought she was
cured from breast cancer but it now
it's returned this time in her bones.


Doctor Lee Tucker says all breasts
cancer have the potential to spread to
the bones.

He says once this happens there is
only a 15 to 20 percent chance of
survival. He points out if its caught
when it's still in the breast --the
chances of survival are over
90-percent. He says this should be a
wake-up call for other women.
