supervisors voted four to three in
favor of implementing a bounty program
to kill off the growing number of
coyotes in the area.
The decision came following a
brief public hearing, where most said
the bounty was a bad idea.

lacking when it comes to adequate
athletic facilities.

fields on the former Victory Stadium
site.
We're told the project is going so
well crews have already had to do mow
the fields at least once.
But no one will be able to use the
fields until August, just in time for

Now Pittsylvania delegate Robert
Hurt says he will seek the GOP
nomination for Hawkins's 19th District
Senate seat.

County and Martinsville in the General
Assembly.
A formal announcement is expected
within the next few weeks.

opinion on Roanoke's new art museum.

Ever since the Art Museum of
Western Virginia broke ground on the
new structure in September 2005 its
gotten mixed reviews.
Some folks say it's too big and
modern for the existing facades -
others are excited the city is getting
something new.
Yesterday the project's architect
checked in on the site's progress and
says it's right on schedule.
The 66-million dollar project is
expected to be completed in the fall of
2008.

Roanoke.

Roanoke."
Virginia Tech will bring its
expertise and research capabilities to
develop ways to better educate and
prepare Roanoke students for the
