A hearing examiner for the State
Corporation Commission has taken the
charge out of A-E-P's proposed rate
increase.

ENG#=1 VO-NAT

VO-NAT KEITH READS

KEITH READS The company requested a 25-
percent increase, which took effect
while the S-C-C heard the case.

But the hearing examiner is
recommending a three-point-nine percent
increase.

Under A-E-P's proposal- a

customer using one- thousand kilowatt-
hours now pays nearly 14- dollars more
each month.

Under the examiner's
recommendation, that same customer
would pay two-33 more a month.
