++++++++++
Afternoon highs are warming up.
Blacksburg averages highs in the lower
60s, but it's typically warmer in the
Roanoke, Lynchburg and Danville with
highs near 70.
++++++++++
Dry air in April can warm quickly in
the late morning and early afternoon
hours, and it can cool rapidly at
night.
++++++++++
Lows across the area are usually in
around 40 degrees, with the coolest air
tucked into the New River Valley, where
lows average in the upper 30s.
++++++++++
They say April showers bring May
flowers. We usually see around
3-and-a-half to 4-inches of rain this
month
++++++++++
and that can be good because April's
seemingly frequent showers can also
washout some of the pollen that's in
the air. And snow is just about over,
however, Blacksburg could still see
close to an inch.
