Benedict's Palm Sunday message
marked the start of the Catholic
Church's Holy Week.

In a mass at St. Peter's Square-
the pope dedicated the start of Holy
Week to young people- continuing the
tradition of Pope John Paul the second.

Thousands turned out for the
service.

Palm Sunday commemorates Christ's
triumphant entry into Jerusalem, and is
the start of Holy Week, which includes
a re-enactment of Christ's crucifixion
on Good Friday and his death and

Necessary lights stayed on, but
restaurants took advantage and just
used candlelight.

Australia, which relies on coal
