(SOUND UP CLINTON - Thank you all very
very much for your help tonight)
That help is really adding up for
Hillary Clinton.
(GFX) The Senator raised 26-million
dollars for her presidential bid in
the first three months of this year..
shattering the old record of just
under 9-million dollars raised by Al
Gore 12-years ago. On top of that,
Clinton has transferred an additional
10-million dollars from her Senate
fundraising account.
Democratic candidate John Edwards also
broke the old record. The former
Senators campaign says hes raised
more than 14 million dollars.
The candidate sandwiched between those
two in opinion polls hasnt
announced a fundraising total yet.. but
political observers expect
Senator Barack Obama to reveal a big
war chest.
(Jim Vandehei, ThePolitico.com)
SOT what people look for is, are you
raising enough to be on pace to
raise anywhere from say 70 to 100
million by the end of the year, which
is sort of the cost of doing business
this year, and can you defy
expectations??
With so many states planning early
primaries.. the money race has been
frenzied. Clinton hit three fundraisers
in the 24 hours before
Saturday's first quarter cut-off. On
the Republican side.. former New
York mayor Rudy Giuliani pressed donor
flesh just about every day for
the last two weeks.. and former
Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney
offered a ten-percent finders' fee to
some of his fundraisers.
CLOSE: Candidates must report
fundraising totals to the Federal
Election
Commission by April 15.. and their
campaigns are trying to make those
numbers look like political muscle.

These genetic risk factors occurred

Researchers hope the findings will help
in developing early screening for the
