as a deadly shooting unfolded this
afternoon at the crowded CNN Center in
Atlanta.
Police say a man and a woman had an
argument near the entrance to the Omni
Hotel, which is attached to CNN.
In what police believe to be a
domestic dispute, the man then pulled a
gun and shot the woman in the face.

the tip-off was the news that Duke's
Gail Goestenkors was leaving the Blue
Devils to take over at Texas.

leaving Duke after 15 seasons. During
those 15 seasons she won seven Atlantic
Coast Conference coach of the year
awards and compiled a career record of

National Coach of the Year for her work

the next head coach at Michigan
tomorrow.
Beilein - who is now 54 - is
somewhat of an unusual person when it
comes to job changes.
Just like he did when he left the
University of Richmond to take over at
West Virginia - he accepted the
Michigan job without ever having
visited the Ann Arbor campus.
Getting Beilein will cost
Michigan $2 point 5 million to buy out
the remainder of his contract in
