of the person who went missing after
their boat capsized at Smith Mountain
Lake this afternoon.

One person has already been
confirmed dead in that same accident.

four o'clock to the Bedford County side
of the lake.

Authorities believe four people
were on board at the time.

They're not sure how the boat
flipped.

steady stream of well-wishers has been
filing into his parents' home for more
than a day.

Peggy and Dale Saunders say they've
been overwhelmed with the outpouring of
support from Jason's friends and
neighbors ... and that it's helped them
cope with the tragedy.

Interstate 81 ended with an accident
and a marijuana bust.

31 year old Alejandro Juan Oceguera
Oh-suh-geh-ra in Pulaski County for an
improper lane change.

Troopers say Oceguera drove off
as they were writing a ticket.

County just North of Radford when the

suspect allegedly swerved to hit an
officer.

He then crossed the median and
tried to head the wrong way on

Police also say they found five
pounds of marijuana in the Saab.

charged with capital murder in the
deaths of a Montgomery County Sheriff's
deputy and a hospital security officer.

Morva was in court this

afternoon, as his attorneys argued 13
pre-trial motions.

The majority of the motions dealt
with jury selection and the
Constitutionality of the death penalty.

Morva's defense will ask the
court to move the trial out of
Montgomery County.

be out a tradition at a Virginia army
base.

Today, a federal appeals
court threw out a lawsuit against the
Pentagon over the decades-old National
Boy Scout Jamboree.

2005 Every four years, thousands of
scouts from across the country gather
at Fort A-P Hill in Bowling Green. The
event began in 1937.

The legal fight stems from

a lawsuit filed against the Pentagon in
1999 on behalf of two Chicago-area
religious leaders.

They claim the Boy Scouts
shouldn't be receiving public support
for the event because the Boy Scouts
require members to swear an oath of
"Duty to God."

But the Seventh U-S Circuit Court
of Appeals said in a ruling today that
the plaintiffs didn't have standing to
file the lawsuit.

The bill includes three- billion
dollars in bonds- to be paid back with

will be increased to match that on

has been nominated for the The Amateur
Softball Association's National Player
of the Year Honor. Right now she is
one of 25 finalists. This award, which
is considered one of the most
prestigious honors in women's
collegiate softball, has put Tincher in
its top 25 for the second straight
year.

Last year, the Eagle Rick native
made the cut down to the final 10.

today and Virginia Tech's Nare Diawara
was selected in the third round -
making her fourth player from Tech ever
selected by the WNBA - and she is also
highest selected Hokie in this
selection process,

in the draft going to the San Antonio
Silver Stars.

Diawara, who is six-feet-six inches
tall, saved her best for last - turning

loss of one of its greatest coaches
tonight.

State Universitycoach Eddie Robinson
has died at the age of 88.

Robinson died overnight in
Monroe, Louisiana, after suffering for
years with Alzheimer's.

Robinson was Grambling's coach
for 56 years, from 1942 to 1997. He
became the first college coach to rack
up 400 wins, completing his career with
408 wins, 165 losses and 15 ties. His
teams had just eight losing seasons and
won 17 Southwestern Athletic Conference
titles and nine national black college
championships.

But this one may be the most
bizarre.

magazine, saying he mixed his father's
ashes with cocaine and snorted them!!

However, now the rocker says he
was just kidding about inhaling them.

According to the Rolling Stones
spokesman, the comment was an
off-the-cuff remark, a joke, and it is

not true. He says it should be filed
under the section of an April Fool's
joke.

exploring some new changes as it kicks
off another season - which officially
started today.
