announcement that Iran is releasing
the captured British sailors and
marines. The Foreign Office says
Britain wants to make sure "they're
safe and well," before making plans to
bring them back to England.
Iranian state television reports they
will leave Iran tomorrow.

enjoying every minute of
it...personally pardoning 15 captured
British troops.
Gone were the army fatigues - the
sailors and marines were given their

got up to speeds of a hundred miles an
hour and ended with an accident and a
marijuana bust.

31 year old Alejandro Juan Oceguera
Oh-suh-geh-ra in Pulaski County for an
improper lane change.
Troopers say Oceguera drove off
as they were writing a ticket.

capsized boat at Smith Mountain Lake.
The Department of Game and
Inland Fisheries says one person is
dead, another is still missing. Two
other people are being treated by
rescue crews.

State Park.

loss of one of its greatest coaches

State Universitycoach Eddie Robinson
has died at the age of 88.
Robinson died overnight in
Monroe, Louisiana, after suffering for
years with Alzheimer's.
Robinson was Grambling's coach
for 56 years, from 1942 to 1997. He
became the first college coach to rack
up 400 wins, completing his career with
408 wins, 165 losses and 15 ties. His
teams had just eight losing seasons and
won 17 Southwestern Athletic Conference
titles and nine national black college
championships.

even after his all too early passing.

Friday Football Extra - 1987 Dana Palmer, who was a player of
:00 the week back in September of 1987 -
died of cancer in 2001 - in his early
30's.
Palmer was only five feet two
inches tall, but he rushed for more
than 2 thousand yards in his senior
year.
This weekend many of his
former teammates and area celebrities
like Shane and Darris Nichols, Doug
Day, Chester Black, Ron Shelburne,
Kevin Sherman and our own Grant
Kkittleson are playing hoops to help
raise money for the Dana Palmer
Memorial Scholarship Fund.
The game tips-off at Radford High
at 6 and admission is absolutely free.

park ride called the Screamer, you
should be allowed to scream.

Well that's not the case at
Sacramento's Scandia park where the
Screamer soars 168 feet high and then
spins riders face down at 65 mph.
When the ride was first put in last
month, riders were allowed to yell
their lungs off.
But neighbors complained about the
noise. Now the park is asking people
to keep quiet or at least cover their
mouths.
Next to an eight lane highway, the
area was never quiet.... But now that
the park has put the muzzle on riders,
have the neighbors stopped complaining?
Nope. One spoil sport says he still
thinks the ride is an eyesore.
